#20   Hat Knife - Mini French Blade
This little blade only has a 2 1/4 inch cutting edge, but it makes a great skinner. You can slot a deer antler and put the tang in with pins with more antler sticking out the back to make a longer handle. It has a forged-on bolster so it's easy to file the handle material down to the bolsters and have a good junction. Dendritic D2 steel, at Rockwell 58-59.

#21   Narrow - Tang Mini French Blade
This blade is the same as the Narrow Tang Mini French (Hat) knife above, but I've ground the full tang down to a narrow tang to be used in a deer antler tine handle. I call it a "hat" knife because some customers put them in little sheaths in their hat bands at rendezvous. It also makes a good skinner or neck knife. Dendritic D2 steel at Rockwell 58-59.

#22  Narrow - Tang Mini-Skinner
This is your serious skinning knife. Designed with plenty of belly, the cutting edge on this one is just over 2 inches. These are ground down to a thin V edge for shaving sharpness, but the Dendritic D2 steel works best for skinning when it's a little dull. The carbide crystals, at the cutting edge, just keep on cutting, but won't nick a hide like a sharper knife would. A small deer antler with the crown makes a good handle for this blade. Rockwell 58-59.

#23  Full - Tang Mini Skinner
Like my other Mini-Skinner, this full-tang model has the same skinning blade. It's just over 2 inches long, and will take small slabs for the handle. Epoxy on one handle, drill from the back side, then epoxy on the other handle before pinning to get them lined up just right. Dendritic D2 steel, at Rockwell 58-59.
